A game headed straight to NBA Classic

Last night in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the Phoenix Suns beat the New Jersey Nets 161-157 in double overtime. This was by far the highest scoring game in the NBA this season. In fact, the previous season high for points by one team was 140 by the Denver Nuggets. As you might imagine, there were a few stats in this game that stood out, but 2 really caught my attention. There were 58 minutes players and 318 points scored, yet the two teams combined for just 29 turnovers. Second, with such a long game, you would think everyone on the team would get major minutes. That was not the case for Phoenix, as only 9 of their players got in, with Jalen Rose, Jumaine Jones, and Pat Burke all getting the dreaded DNP-Coaches Decision.
