The Hot Stove League heats up for Maier

The Major League Baseball winter meetings are in full swing and the rumors of where players will land are flying everywhere. On person that’s down there trying to catch on with a team in the front office is Jeff Maier. If you don’t remember, Maier was the 12 year old Yankees fan who took a catch away from Tony Tarasco of the Baltimore Orioles in the 1996 AL Championship series. According to a Yahoo Sports article, some people from the Orioles still can’t seem to forgive him. I was an Orioles fan at the time of the incident in 1996, but I have nothing against him now. If he were to find work in Major League Baseball and screw one of my favorite teams over again, then I would be pissed.
